Organic Psychoosteopathy
Listening to the person, caring for the body
Organic Psychoosteopathy is an approach to osteopathic care that combines hands-on work with listening to your experience and understanding the circumstances in which your symptoms arise.
At my practice in Palafrugell, I pay attention to how you feel, how your body moves and how events in your life may influence your wellbeing. Everyone has their own story, needs and pace.

When might this approach be considered?
Sometimes we seek help for physical discomfort during a period when we also feel more tense, tired or unable to rest. Psychoosteopathy may form part of care adapted to that situation.
Together, we can explore:
-
Muscle tension that increases during periods of stress.
-
Difficulty relaxing physically or resting.
-
Discomfort that appears or becomes more noticeable during demanding periods.
-
Changes in breathing and bodily sensations.
-
How your symptoms affect your activities and wellbeing.
The starting point is to listen and understand your situation, taking your health history and any previous assessments into account.

How do I work?
We begin with a conversation about what is troubling you and what you hope to gain from the session. You decide what you would like to share and how much detail you feel comfortable discussing.
I then carry out a physical assessment and, where appropriate, use manual techniques adapted to your sensitivity. Through touch, I pay attention to mobility, areas of tension and how you feel during the work.
The session may include simple breathing, movement and body-awareness exercises. We agree on the pace together, and you can ask me to adjust or stop any technique.

The relationship between stress and the body
Our experiences can influence our rest, breathing and the way we perceive pain or tension. In turn, living with discomfort can affect our mood and activities.
That is why I want to understand how these aspects relate in your case, without assuming that all symptoms have an emotional cause.
Working from the heart
My approach is based on listening, respect and individual attention. The aim is not to change who you are, but to support you as you explore what may help you feel more comfortable in your body and everyday life.
Support tailored to you
Organic Psychoosteopathy forms part of my osteopathic practice. It does not replace psychological, psychiatric or medical care when needed. If I believe an assessment by another professional would be helpful, I will explain why.
We can also discuss simple ways to support yourself in everyday life: taking breaks, moving, resting or choosing activities that help you feel more comfortable. Together, we review your progress and what you find useful.
