Osteopathy and sport: care tailored to your activity

A mountain run places different demands on your body from a strength session, a tennis match or several hours on a bike. That is why, when discomfort arises during sport, I want to understand both what you feel and what you are asking your body to do.

Understanding your activity

During the consultation, we discuss your training, recent changes in load, recovery and the movements that trigger your symptoms.

The wider context matters too: your schedule, rest and the time you have to recover. My experience as an Olympic athlete shapes the way I listen and understand your goals.

Recovery, maintenance and prevention

My approach considers these three aspects: supporting recovery when symptoms arise, addressing limitations that interfere with your activity, and exploring training and recovery habits within my scope of practice.

Prevention is an ongoing process, with no guarantee of avoiding every injury.

Hands-on care as part of a wider approach

Manual techniques are chosen according to the assessment and your preferences. Where appropriate, care may need to be complemented by exercise, rehabilitation or assessment by other professionals.

Not every ache or discomfort means you need to stop training, but symptoms should not be ignored either. The starting point is to understand what is happening and decide how to move forward in a way that suits your situation.
